Our History
Leaders Credit Union got its start in Jackson, Tennessee back in 1957 under the name Jackson-Madison County Teachers Credit Union. Its mission was to provide area teachers with a convenient way to save and borrow money.
In 1996, JMCTCU had expanded its membership to include not only education but also healthcare and communications, and we needed a name to reflect the changes.
Today, we are over 80,000 members strong and have over $1 Billion in assets – and we continue to serve our communities with the comprehensive products and services they need to build their financial strength.
